As the door quietly cracks open, the light from the hallway illuminates the shadowy figure standing there. Quickly sliding into the room, he gently closes the door behind him.
“where is he,” he wonders. He moves deeper into the room, not daring to turn on a light.
“I can't leave without him!!” He begins searching the room, but what is he looking for? His friend is surely not hiding in this room.
“Someone must be keeping him from me. That's it!! It's the grownups!! The nuns told me to stay away from him!! I said I would, but I lied!! But it has been 4 days!! They are keeping us apart!!!”
After going through the desk, he notices a coat hanging in the corner. With a smirk forming on his lips he rushes to the coat, frantically going through the pockets. His fingers brush the familiar metal shape. He quickly pulls his hand out of the pocket and looks down, his eyes wide with excitement.
“ I knew they were holding back. I hate them so much. They have to pay!!! But I gotta go. I can't stay here any longer!!”
The boy walks behind the desk to the heavily curtained window, flipping open the cover. His eyes glassing over he flicks the metal wheel igniting the wick. The flame bursts into existence as he touches it to the curtains. They instantly burst into flames, catching the boy by surprise. He jumps back, dropping the lighter on the desk catching the papers on fire. Panicking he grabs the zippo and rushes to the door. Opening the door he takes one last look back at the beast consuming the room and chuckles as he leaves the room the door closing quietly behind him.
