Nyxy settled down in her room, she was thankful to Drake for allowing her to seek refuge here but worried; losing the Last Stand was not something she had planned for. Though she supposed giving up things would be neccessary to make this existence better. She was worried about the blood hunt, and her own path towards mastering her inner beast permanently. But Nyxy was determined to unlock the potential Yuki said resideed within her.
'Deep into my inner world I retreat as I meditate, I expected Yuki san but ended up delving back into places I did not wish to tread...'
As she walked around the area she noticed it was now gray lit instead of completely dark. Nyxy could see a stone structure in the distance with a strange glow from with in it. while curious to what it was she had hoped to meet up with Yuki here. "Master are you present?" She called out looking around. There was no answer, Nyxy shrugged her eyes once again glancing towards the stone structure off ahead. The light coming from it intriguing her, 'what is that place and why does it shine so?'. She noticed the ground beneath her feet formed a path towards it though some of the clutter from either side spilled onto the path. Moving some debris out the way she began to make her way towards the structure. As she walks she takes in the sight of trash and rubble to either side of her "hmm this place be a lot messier than before..." She hears a soft giggle at her words and pauses her hand going towards her blade. "Are ye gone to cut me?" Nyxy blinked turning towards the voice. A little girl in a white and red robe approached, her long dark hair was pulled back into a braid. "Who are ye?" she asked staring at the child. "I was gone ask ye the same Miss." Nyxy smirked the child reminded her of herself in fact..."Do ye have a name little one?" Nyxy asked the girl who grinned "My name is Chi, what is yours?" Nyxy tensed "It's Nyxy...ye said your name is Chi?" The girl grinned "yeah ye not be deaf eh lady?" Nyxy smirked thinking 'yes this little gal definitely is me younger self but how?' Chi smiled and spinned "why did you come here lady?" Nyxy smiled at the girl "I come to think about things, get me mind focused." Chi nods to her "I come here to get away from the bad." Nyxy frowned as the child hugged herself looking down sadly. "What bad girl?" Chi sighed "I spilled grannies beans today, it was an accident but she no care, she hates me I know it. Says I'm a yellow demon." Nyxy frowned as the girl continued remembering that awful day too well... "she used the good switch on me this time, but it stopped hurting once I focused." Nyxy frowned nodding "aye the switch were never easy to deal with." Chi shrugs "it better than her fist." Nyxy nods sadly wanting to think of something else "so that building there what is it?" She points to the structure off in the distance. Chi glances at it "the center I think, I don't know what that means but I want to go there." Nyxy nods "so why haven't ye?" Chi frowned "I can't go there myself too many scary things get in the way." Nyxy grinned "I am used to scary things little one." Chi smiled "you look pretty tough maybe we can go together?" Nyxy shrugged "I won't mind the company, come on." The girl smiled and walked up to her, as they begin walk Nyxy asks "tell me Chi do you believe in happiness?" The young girl frowned pausing her steps "no." Nyxy nods not shocked by the young girls answer then asks "would you believe me if I told you that this changes when ye are older?" Chi smirked "no not really but I have a feeling I should trust ye." Nyxy nods offering her hand "ye should, and ye should know that all the things we used to believe in will change." Chi blinks then shrugged "if ye say so Miss are we going to go?" Nyxy nods "come on I am sure the path is not that scary." Chi takes her hand and nods "okay but keep your sword close the first monster is not that far away." "Monster?" Nyxy asks and Chi frowns nodding gently. "It's a big one so be careful."
Nyxy nods keeping her other hand on her hilt, as they walk along the path they began to approach a large looming shadow like being. The young Chi pauses again and cowers "there it is, its scary it keeps asking me to give it a hug..." Nyxy raised an eyebrow staring strangely at the child "why would a monster ask ye to do that?" As she asks this the being turns to her showing his face and smirks "hello Darlin..."

"So let me guess ye be my fear of love then?" Nyxy asks sarcastically. Jack grinned "I dunno Darlin your the one who summoned me here." He
glances at little Chi and smiled "cute kid I think I scared her earlier." Nyxy nods "ye don't say? You are a lot bigger than you normally are
here Dear..." He grinned "maybe you are just smaller here toots..." Nyxy blinked as his face shifted slightly forming into Demetrius... "Oh
hell no..." Nyxy said with a glare. Chi frowned "see he is a monster." Nyxy sighed "nay gal he is no monster well technically..err, no. You see
even those who seem monstrous can care about you. And this thing has taken on the face of someone who loves me." Chi glanced at him then back
to Nyxy "are you going to give him a hug?" He grins at the girls words, still showing Demetrius face and Nyxy frowns shivering "uh not like
that no..." The apparition smirked shifting back into Jack's face "how about now?" Nyxy smirks "sorry but we have to get to that structure." He
blocks their way "sorry babe but you can't head there." Nyxy stares balefully at him "look if ye think you are going to stop me from getting
there ye can try, but I am determined..." He flexes his arms "oh I know I can stop you Darlin..." Nyxy glances at Chi go over there to safety I
got this." The little girl nods going for cover while Nyxy glances at the Jack apparition; "I know ye are a test, but if ye think you are
getting in the way of me getting there you are mistaken." He grins and motions her to come at him, Nyxy smirked "ye think I am dumb? If ye are
anything like me Jack ye can squish me like a bug." He laughed hard "smart but I still wont let you pass" Nyxy walks up to him hands up staring
up into his eyes "really? Because despite what others think of ye, I know Jack would never block me from this." He grinned "oh? Don't you think he'd be worried about losing you?"
Nyxy paused at his words and the apparition takes the opportunity to hit her hard knocking her back. Nyxy frowns as she is launched up and hits
the ground a few feet back hard. Chi runs up to her "Nyxy!" She grunts sitting up "I'm okay little one, that definitely is not me Jack." Chi
glances at him "then who is it?" Nyxy sighed "he is my anxiety and fear of our relationship. The part of me that fears me life without him."
Nyxy shivered then sighed closing her eyes. "This is why I don't like love it hurts, and causes weakness" Chi says softly." Nyxy opened her
eyes "nay girl love can make ye stronger, and while yes it can hurt to lose it especially if its true; its worth having it even briefly." She stands and draws her sword. Jack laughs glancing at her "You won't hurt me Darlin, cutting me out of your life is impossible." Nyxy frowned then grinned "while the thought of ye not being in me life scares the hell out of me. Ye are not going to stop me from this. Even if I lost him I know Jack loves me, and I him. With that we will always be bonded." She rushes him blade drawn he dodges but Nyxy spins arcing her blade remembering from watching him spar that he sometimes favored his left bringing the blade around to the right cutting the specter in half. He dissipates but his voice lingers "I knew you had it in you Darlin...kick this places ass." Nyxy closed her eyes shivering, Chi walks up to her and looks "the path is clear for now." Nyxy nods "let's go then." The little girl glances at her as they walk "was that monster really the guy you love?" Nyxy smiled "he only looked like him, the one I love is scarier looking." She chuckles then blinks at Chi's look of horror. "What?" Nyxy asks, Chi shrugged "If I marry I am going to marry someone like me dad, I miss him." Nyxy shivered "don't place restrictions on who ye fall for gal believe me love doesn't follow rules nor does it play fair. Sometimes ye find yourself falling for someone unexpected." Chi frowned "I said marriage not love." Nyxy smirked 'Oh yeah this is definitely my younger self...' As they get further down it begins to rain and they could hear the sound of weeping. "Great now what?" Nyxy asks looking around, Chi frowned "mama why are ye crying? Where are you?" The little girl runs off ahead and Nyxy frowned "Chi wait that cannot be..." The little girl screams and Nyxy runs forward then pauses seeing a large glowing figure in a soaking wet kimono she held the child who had fainted in her arms. "Hello Chi...mommy has returned for you..."

As the rain continued to pour Nyxy looked on at the looming specter who claimed to be her mother...The being held little Chi in her arms but was staring Nyxy in her eyes as she speaks.
"Chi I have come for you, mommy is here." Nyxy frowned slightly "look I know who you think ye are, but I don't need this right now. I just want to get to that building there." She points to the structure." Mitsuko looked down at the child in her arms her tears falling "I failed to protect you before, I must protect you from that place you cannot go there!" Nyxy clenched her fist trying to control her anger. "That place is my center, why would ye want to keep me from it?" Mitsuko glances at her "your center? you are trying to find..." Her voice trails off, she looked lost for a moment and Nyxy stared wondering what she was going to do next. Mitsuko speaks softly "you've changed Chi...what happened to you?" Nyxy looked away "I grew up. It don't matter let the child down and move out of my way." Mitsuko frowned her ghostly form shifting to her human form; the pouring rain giving her a drowned look. "Chi look at me..." Mitsuko stares at her pleadingly, Nyxy looked down "I don't have time for this..." The little girl stirs opening her eyes "momma is that really you?" Nyxy glanced at them both and Mitsuko nods to her "why did you leave me?" Chi asks her. Nyxy wanted to walk away from this she didn't want to hear any excuses, didn't want to see this at all." Mitsuko closed her eyes "I was haunted, my mind was not right and I had to go away. But I have always been there. I have seen the things you have done, both the good and not so good." Chi blinks "but I have been a good girl." Nyxy blinked feeling herself say the same thing "damn what is going on with me?" Mitsuko smiled at her "yes despite it all Chi you have been good, to those you care about. But you have also been bad, I blame myself for that. You have almost lost your honor completely several times." Nyxy sighed "yes well me moral compass got a bit damaged from the hits I took." Mitsuko sighed at Nyxy's words her hand rubbing the child's back. Chi shivered hugging Mitsuko "I wan't to stay here with you, don't send me back." Mitsuko carressed the child's face "unfortunately I have to, I was afraid of what you had become Chi. But despite the harshness of how you grew up you will be alright. I see now I cannot block your path or protect you, you must protect yourself." Nyxy nods to her "thank you."
Mitsuko sighed "the hardest thing is knowing the burden I created for you and Josef. I wish I could say more but somethings are best left unsaid for now." Nyxy nods to her "it is okay I thought id spend me whole life hating you for leaving us. But I don't anymore, I know what rejection did to me, it twisted me inside nearly made me a monster." Mitsuko smiled "you are no monster my child." She sets Chi down who stares sadly at her "are you going to go away?" Mitsuko smiled "no I will be with you from now on..." Her body shifts into a soft glowing essence "Chi hold your blade out please." Nyxy blinked "I won't cut ye momma." Mitsuko chuckles "don't be silly little one just hold it out please." Nyxy nods drawing her sword holding it out wondering what her mother's apparition wanted. "I will be a guide for you Chi...or should I call you Nyxy?" Nyxy felt herself smile "you can call me Chi...Mom." The essence travels to her blade and fades she could hear a soft chuckle from the blade. Little Chi walks up "will mama be safe in there?" Nyxy stares at her blade "i'll protect her with my being." She sheathes it then nods holding her hand out, Chi takes it sighing "I hope she is right about me being okay." Nyxy grinned "you will be gal." The two of them make their way ahead along the path, as the rain stops and Nyxy tenses "hold up..." Several shadow beings were up ahead and the sounds of calypso music could be heard. Chi blinks "I know that song..." She tenses hiding behind Nyxy as a voice greets them "we'll now, what do we have ere? My little yellow demon brought some old whore here to protect her from us?" Nyxy's grandmother grinned, her uncle and his wife and children as well.
"Oh lovely a family reunion..." Nyxy sighed.

The old Jamaican woman smirks "aye this be a reunion of sorts, but we are just here for da show. We will be taking the child though." Chi cowers and Nyxy pulls out her sword "touch her and i'll cut you down." Her grandmother laughs "oh ye think yer tough now eh gal? I whipped your arse many times. Lucky for ye we are just here for the party..." Nyxy glanced at her eyebrows raised "party?" Her uncle chimes in "yeah those people over there are throwing it, said dey are your family now. The one dude seem real fancy how much of yourself did ye sell to him?" Her grandmother laughs "I always knew you'd end up a whore; ye were a demon child I tell you." Nyxy frowned "I am no one's whore." Her grandmother smirks "oh I think dey say different..." Vincent turns to Nyxy and grins "hello childe." Chi blinks "is that your father?" Nyxy cleared her throat "he is my sire yes but my father is Josef." Her grandmother snarls "don't ye say me child's name, you and yer bitch mother killed him!" Nyxy glares "booze killed him and a weak soul!" Her grandmother looked like she was going to launch at Nyxy when Vincent clears his voice "enough, we will have no fighting at this gathering. My childe is no longer your concern in fact...you can all die now." His third eye opens up and Nyxy watches as her grandmother and the others fall over then wither away.
Chi pokes her head out from around Nyxy "he killed them..." Nyxy frowned not liking where this was going "yes, the real man who sired me does his best to keep me safe." Vincent smirks "are you saying you don't believe I want to keep you safe Nyxy?" She glanced at him locking eyes with his "look I know what this be, and all I want to do is get there..." She points to the structure which was closer than before; its light shone brighter than before. Vincent smirks "sorry childe but I cannot allow that. That place is full of lies. If you try to go I and the others will have to stop you." Nyxy frowns as the others turn to her, Doc chimes in "ooh dibs on the child I can turn her into such a pretty thing." Chi screams and tucks against Nyxy's side. Nyxy glares "are ye serious? Why would ye all block me from this?" Vincent smirks "you are strong enough as you are Nyxy, if you do this it will take you away from us. Do you really want to lose the only family you truly care about?" His eye begins to glow and Nyxy felt herself drawn in to his words "lose my family..." Her mind went to the times they fought together or just hung around each other. Jolene speaks "Nyxy you are one of us don't turn your back to us." Snake nods "Miss Nyxy if you go you will leave us." Dee frowned "you already left me once, Keelie and I need you." Doc shrugged "you still haven't let me operate on you yet." Nyxy shivered "I can't turn me back on you...but." She stares to the structure and gasps feeling a hand around her throat "focus on us Nyxy..." Vincent's voice was in her mind; the hand around her neck felt real but they were still a few feet away. "We only want what's best for you...you belong with us.." Nyxy felt herself begining to black out when she saw Chi run up to shadow Vincent "LET HER ALONE!" She kicks at him and he blinks picking her up. "No...don't..." Nyxy gasps struggling against the feeling of being choked, as Chi screamed at the glowing eye on his forehead. Vincent stares at the child annoyed then to Snake "Snake take care of this girl..." Snake nods walking up to grab her as Doc frowned "I said I wanted her!"
Snake reaches out to take Chi from Vincent who was holding the screaming girl by her arms, but is shocked as Nyxy rushes towards them grabbing the girl rolling away. She pants as they land a few feet away. "You mind broke free of my grasp, I suppose you truly are stronger than we give you credit..." Shadow Vincent says amused. Nyxy glances at Chi, I want you to run for that structure don't let anything stop ye." Chi frowns "but I am scared..." Nyxy shakes her head "don't be gal you are strong trust me, go and look for the master I have a feeling she is near ahh." She feels someone pull her hair back "you shouldn't have done that!" Jolene hisses as Chi runs off towards the structure. Nyxy grins seeing the girl get away then grunts at the being holding her hair. "I do a lot of things I aint supposed to do!" She brings her elbow back to the creatues midsection; and flips Jolene over onto her back then stands as the others gather around her. "I know what ye all are, yer my fear of being betrayed and left alone. But know this! I know better, me coterie cares about me, even that fool there." She points to Doc who grins at her "I really don't" he chuckles. Nyxy frowned shaking her head to them. "Whoever ye are trying to manipulate my fears get stuffed!" Vincent smirked "oh you are a smart one...how did you know?" Nyxy smirked "because the real Vincent wouldn't waste time talking me out of this; he had just made me do as he wished. And the real Jolene would have cut me not pulled me hair. Don't get me started on Snake trying to harm a child, even with ye orders. You see me I know me coterie, they are my family and I trust them. None of you are even close to how they truly are." The shadow Jolene gets up and smirks "smart but you know we are not your final challenge...and you sent that child off towards it." Nyxy glared "are you really going to get into my way?" Vincent grinned "we thought about it...but no you won't get passed the last obstacle in fact that younger you is probably caught up in it as we speak. Farewell Nyxy it was nice knowing you." They grin walking off together and Nyxy frowned.
She rushed ahead and felt herself sinking into the ground some. Grunting she went back some pulling herself out of the mud like substance and yelled "CHI! Where are ye girl?" The girl was a few feet ahead being dragged down by several hands "Nyxy help me!" Nyxy frowned as she watched the girl pulled under "shit!" She goes back into the substance it felt heavy around her legs as she sunk deeper into its depths. As she gets closer to where Chi was spotted several rotting hands grab at her. Nyxy struggles but is dragged under to, once down she sees Chi struggling to breathe as several figures hold her. Nyxy blinks as she recognizes them; some were former patients who were suicidal from her days at the triage. But there were others ones who made her gasp...Charlie, Stumpy, Brick and the fallen EMVC. Charlie glares at her his face half torn off by what had to be gun fire "How dare you try to make yourself better you bitch! You are the one who caused our fall, our club was better off without you! Now you will stay down here with us where you belong." Nyxy frowned at them "I won't I didn't kill ye ahh" She felt someone grab her from behind and say "ye doomed us all girl, everything ye touch withers..." she turns to look in horror seeing Damien's rotted figure and screams...

Nyxy shocked by the sight of rude boy continued to scream as she struggled against the grasp of her zombie friend. He taunts her, "scream all ye want girl this be yer new home. The depths of the darkness inside of you is deep. Too deep fer ye to escape." Charlie and the others nod in agreement and Charlie adds "you will blight no one else." Nyxy watched as Chi struggled then floated still succumbing to the lack of air. She panics "please listen to me I did not cause all of your deaths. And Rude boy I know ye are still alive, I would know if ye..." Damien frowned at her "this be my fate being your friend Chi; ye need to accept that." Nyxy closed her eyes feeling his words cut her deep. "I really do make things worst for people don't I?" She hangs her head down "I went around me life convinced I didn't care about anyone but meself. I was cold unfeeling, manipulating. I thought I was protecting meself from hurt." She opened her eyes staring at the ghosts of her past "I never thought about who I hurt in the process." A red tear rolled down her face and Charlie stares at her "are you crying?" Nyxy shivered feeling another roll down her face. Damien lets her go and she hugs herself sinking down. Young Chi begins to rot in front of her and then wither and Nyxy reaches out her hand to her as the body disappears completely. The site of this causes more blood tears to flow staining Nyxy's face. She glanced around at the rotted figures surrounding her;"ye all are right, this be what I deserve. I have done terrible things to those I deemed weak. Ignored their pain; let them suffer because of me own hang ups. I can never tell you all how sorry I am for that. But I truly am. I was selfish; I wanted revenge for all the pain I grew up with. But none of ye did anything to me to deserve that, and I understand that now." She stares at Charlie her face red from blood tears "I thought me coterie would be my only chosen family. I never planned to fall for Jack, nor did I think id ever care for anyone else. But I truly did care for ye all, even ye Stumpy." She stared sadly at him, "I could not cry fer ye, even as I spoke of the loss the other night, and I am sorry. But know yer deaths; all of you took a piece of me with ye. I would never have entered the Stand if I knew this be your fate." Charlie and the others fade at her words, and Damien stared at her "do you really believe you can change Chi?" Nyxy glanced at him "I don't know, I don't want to do anything that makes this your fate. You are the brother I always wanted Damien, and now that ye have a family if I have to stay away from ye I will. Let me stay here it is where I belong." Nyxy closed her eyes ready to give in to the depths. The zombi-ed Damien fades away leaving her alone to languish in her sorrow...
A hand thrusts down making a large ripple at her, she opened her eyes staring at it. She was unsure if she should reach for it. The weight of the lives lost around her dragging her down more; seeing her younger self wither away had broken her spirit leaving her unsure. She tried looking away from it, but the hand remained. A thin pool of light shined down with it. Nyxy hears a soft voice in her mind,'you feel true sorrow for all you have done. And you did not deny your part in the cause of it. You can let go of this Chi, you are ready now for the next step." Nyxy stares up shocked but reaches up and takes the hand allowing herself to be pulled out. She blinks as she finds herself on solid ground again; and stares into the face of Yuki who speaks; "that was a very trying experience for you. Several times I thought you would succumb to the inner demons who hold you back. You had a lot of burden in you Chi, how do you feel now?" Nyxy wiped her face with the back of her hand "a little empty if I can be honest with ye." Yuki smiled "that is to be expected you have unloaded your burdens, their weight will no longer hold you down. Now you must learn to truly rise above them." Nyxy glances around "I know she wasn't real, but that younger form of meself..." Yuki chuckled "you had to let go of her to, I think deep inside your need to be a strong person warped your childhood. Having her as your guide through this made sense. It was a part of yourself you had trouble letting go of. But you know how she truly ends up." Nyxy felt herself smile at this "aye I do, thank you again Yuki." Yuki smiled at her "you dropped this back there." She hands Nyxy her sword, the blade still humming with essence. "Is that truly mama's spirit?" Nyxy takes the blade sheathing it. Yuki smiled "perhaps, I know a part of her always resided inside of you, and now you have transferred that to your blade. It is the part of yourself that longs to nurture and protect. It will serve you well on your path." Nyxy stares at the stone structure, it was close she could see the light inside almost feel it as well. "So what be next?" She asks softly. Yuki smiled "I can tell it scares you Chi, but that is your center it is time for you to go to it. You are ready." Nyxy nods squaring her shoulders, though the light felt warm as she walked closer to the structure she did not fear it. The stone base had an opening in which the light poured out from, she looked back and saw Yuki was gone. There was no one was behind her at all. But they did not need to be, she knew every one she cared about were all apart of her. And this was a journey she had to make alone, and for once she was unafraid of that. With a nod she stepped inside allowing the light to envelope her...
"It's so warm."
